At the Mekong Delta Digital Transformation and Startup Innovation Week 2023 organized by the Hậu Giang Provincial People’s Committee, FSI’s solutions for creating, storing, and managing digital data, supporting administrative reform, and digital transformation of public services, attracted the attention of many local government agencies.
Digital transformation to drive economic and social development in the Mekong Delta region
Hậu Giang Province is committed to building an effective e-government to serve citizens and improve the efficiency of government agencies. In recent years, the province has actively implemented digital solutions and events to promote digital transformation. Building on the experience and results of the 2022 event, the Hậu Giang Provincial People’s Committee continued to host the Mekong Delta Digital Transformation and Startup Innovation Week 2023, which took place from May 18-20, 2023, at the Provincial Convention Center, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) and provincial agencies.
The event brought together over 80 booths from organizations and businesses across the country, showcasing digital transformation solutions, startup innovation models, and participating in thematic workshops on a variety of topics of interest, including e-government, public administration, smart cities, agriculture, healthcare, education, tourism, businesses, and startup innovation.

Improving a unified and centralized digital data platform to accelerate e-government development
With the goal of administrative reform and e-government construction in 2021-2025 to serve citizens better and help agencies improve their efficiency, the Hậu Giang provincial government is promoting the digitization of paper documents, reforming public services, and accelerating the creation of a unified, centralized database across the province.
To effectively and accurately convert documents to electronic form, professional document digitization services and advanced digitalization solutions that automate and process a variety of data from text, images, to audio play a key role.
Speaking at the “Digital Government” panel discussion on the topic of “Digital transformation of public services in the Mekong Delta region,” Mr. Vu Thanh Long, FSI HCM’s Chief Technology Officer, said: “Digitalization technologies such as OCR, ICR, OMR, ADRT, NLP, and Voice-to-text are the answer to the problem of optimizing manpower, time, and cost in the process of implementing large-scale document digitization. With millions of pages of content to be input, automation solutions such as OCR or voice recognition technology can save more than 80% of processing time compared to manual methods.”
In addition, Mr. Long also said that technology is not enough. To meet the specific requirements of government agencies in implementing digitalization, the implementing unit needs to have a professional and secure implementation process that meets the ISO/IEC 27001 information security standard, the ISO 9001 quality management standard and a team of experienced implementation staff and modern equipment to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.
