On December 10, 2022, under the auspices of the Authority of Information Security (AIS) and Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA), FSI cooperated with MISA, Viettel Solutions, Mobifone, etc. to establish the Cyber Security Exercise Club (CYSEEX) which improves the capacity of Vietnamese enterprises to handle and prevent a cyber-information security incident.
Collaboration for a safer and more secure cyberspace
Data from the AIS showed that in the first eleven months of 2022, there were 847 cyber attacks that caused problems with information systems in Vietnam (up 44.2% over the same period in 2021). For most organizations, a single hour of Internet downtime costs their business over 300.000 – 1.000.000 USD.
Forecasting network information security in 2023, advanced persistent threats stealing data from the data transfer process will increase. As digital environments become increasingly complex, cybercriminals find new vulnerabilities to exploit to steal data. So business resources are hard to deal with by themself. It could be caused huge losses.
CYSEEX is armed to support the members of the club to promptly respond to cyber security incidents. Besides, assist agencies to improve their detection and response by sharing knowledge and experiences.
Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy director of AIS highly appreciated the role of CYSEEX in providing useful solutions to improve Vietnam’s information security capacity. Mr. Khoa said: “AIS is committed to always standing with businesses in ensuring information security, we will also join hands with CYSEEX to operate effectively.”
