In the “National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030,” education is one of eight sectors to be prioritized for digital transformation. On this journey, the completion of an educational digital database is a top priority.
Promising directions for the digital transformation of education from the BESS 2023
As of March 2023, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, for the database on preschool and general education, nearly 24 million student records and 1.6 million records of teachers, staff, and educational management officials have been completed. digitized, assigned a unique identifier. At the same time, information on 54,000 schools nationwide has been created and connected to the shared data repository of the education sector.
In addition to the impressive numbers mentioned above, many experts and training management officials also shared the limitations of the digital transformation of the education sector, such as the widespread phenomenon of digital learning materials without authenticity and strict control in terms of quality and content, as well as the lack of easy-to-deploy, easy-to-use tools to effectively exploit the data resources. From there, it caused a situation of non-uniformity of knowledge, not yet exploiting the value of the education sector’s data, wasting time and budget.
