On the afternoon of May 10, Vietnam Steel Corporation (VNSTEEL) and FSI Technology Development and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company officially signed a cooperation agreement “Building digital data management software and creating a digital document system”. The project aims to create a synchronous database and centralized electronic data management system on a company-wide scale, which is a stepping stone for VNSTEEL to accelerate business innovation and improve business in 2023.
VNSTEEL focuses on data mining in parallel with steel mining in the new era
As a leading enterprise in the field of steel production and trading, possessing a history and reputation of nearly 30 years, VNSTEEL currently plays the role of one of the pioneers leading the development of Vietnam’s steel industry. However, facing the flow of the digital age 4.0 and the undeniable importance of “data”, VNSTEEL identifies “data” that is changing the businesses, and which companies want to develop requires rapid change.
Right from the first months of 2023, Vietnam Steel Corporation – Joint Stock Company determined that restructuring and innovating businesses through database synchronization, effective digital data exploitation is the direction that will bring efficiency. , which helps to reduce management costs and optimize operations, improve working efficiency at factories and affiliated production units, and at the same time serve the digital transformation of enterprises in the future.
At the signing ceremony of the project “Building digital data management software and creating digital document system” with FSI, Mr. Pham Cong Thao – Deputy General Director of VNSTEEL said: “Digital transformation is among the goals that VNSTEEL has focused on in recent years. However, in the process of implementation, the work of creating, storing, and exploiting the electronic data of the company has not achieved the expected progress. VNSTEEL is actively looking for suitable solutions and implementers, determined to complete the college program by 2025, with an orientation to 2030.”
Currently, with a network of nearly 40 affiliated companies, including 23 production units, Vietnam Steel Corporation is facing a situation where a large number of documents are stored fragmented and scattered in many locations, and departments. This greatly affects the performance of personnel, increases operating costs, and reduces VNSTEEL’s business opportunities because of information latency. Therefore, VNSTEEL’s leadership is determined to change the method of managing old documents and data.
Digitally transform data creation and management with FSI to streamline production and business operations
Realizing that the transformation of businesses to modernization and automation is the solution to business problems, VNSTEEL hopes that through the cooperation with FSI, it will help create digital records and electronic databases in complete synchronization. The corporation, through the implementation of professional document digitization, data standardization and input services, integrated with OCR advanced character recognition technology.
After completing the construction of digital data, FSI will provide centralized electronic data management software, allowing to quickly manage and exploit information, inter-department, inter-organizational, with the ability to High security and optimal operating costs.
